Spa Brunch took our series, “In Search of the Spa Life”, to a new kind of interior design and decor show, Westedge. Not one where your head spins from vendor overload, or looks like Home Depot threw up in a convention center. Nope. An uber cool extravaganza where you fly the friendly design skies with a global array of emerging designers in Barker Aircraft Hanger. Now this we dig!
When we leave the studio In Search of the Spa Life, we’re looking for ideas & products to bring the luxe spa vibe home. After all, that’s how we live so why not come along for the ride? You may find something you love too. And Westedge did not disappoint, we even found products that ARE actually in spas – what luck!
Videos are on the way, so be sure to register for the Brunch Bliss List to get an update when they come out. Meanwhile, a little photo tour of some of the hottest ideas we found to bring spa style to your decor: Click on the image to go see the rest of these amazing designers’ creations:
We went nuts over Palmpring’s innovative beds and mattresses made from coconut husks! The founder was inspired on a trip to India when he noticed locals sleeping on coconut mats. It’s hypoallergenic and lasts 20 years and is super comfy too!
An incredible piece of natural stone anchors this fab jewelry like lamp from designer, Brenda Houston’s Illuminare line – it seriously glitters! Check out her entire line by clicking the image. Wait til you see her granite tables!
The table from Egg Collective sports a serious fossil adding visual interest and a conversation starter. A prehistorically modern piece for a natural yet edgy vibe.
Can you believe this is a pillow? Porcupine without the spine we say! Aviva Stanoff makes the blingiest textiles and soft goods – and this is very touchable too1
More from Aviva Stanoff – gauzy embroidered silk with a sheer border! This would be divine draped over a sofa or as curtains.
Blinded by the bling – I think Aviva Stanoff is the quintessential linen for glam spa living!
This table from Sentient Furniture is custom made from walnut. I love the texture leaving the interior edges rough creates. Spa cabin here we come!
This sofa also from Sentient Furniture is so cozy it’s swallowing me up! Great tip: Keep a piece like this clean by vacuuming it, never wash.
Have you always wanted an outdoor shower like at so many spas? Well here is an easy solution, the garden shower by Jee-O. Just be sure to put a few screens or tall fences to avert prying eyes!
The Stealth Sofa by Italian furniture design firm Just One Piece. Plush, colorful velvet w/ pillows you can configure for max relaxation – plus a really cool triangular shape! Wow!
What do Ferraris and ovens have in common? Paint! This Bertazzoni oven heats from zero to sixty in no time and the paint is the same that adorns that beloved Italian race car. (and my pants) Belissima! It also comes in the sunniest yellow!
